First of all, I need to say a big “Sorryyy” for my followers who have been waiting for my Tumblog reviews. I have been very busy lately with work (tons of ad campaigns to do— if you must know I’m working as a copywriter, full time) and with other social media platforms (namely, YouTube). 

Anyway, I promised Reascr (a.k.a. Kai Williamson, he’s got a YouTube channel go ahead and subscribe) that I will review his gaming Tumblr blog ages ago and today I’ll finally be able to fulfill his wishes. (I’m so sorry this took too long, dude.)

Anyhow, here are the results of my blog ogling on reascr.tumblr.com:

1. Quality: 4.5 ~0.0~

If you’re a gamer geek (I’m not), you’l have to follow this blog because of two things: (1) So many games to relate with and (2) the blogger posts a few more extras other than gaming stuff like memes and funny stuff which is totally fun. Also, he’s got loads of rebloggable (yep, that became a word just now) gaming trips and tricks for hardcore geeks! I would’ve given it full 5 Ogle Eyes if it had more original posts or something. I see a lot of reblogs which is GOOD, but original stuff are also great ice breakers. But then again I guess that’s just how gaming Tumblers work.

2. Layout: 3.5 ~0.0~

I liked that the blog has a very strong personality on its own. It’s black, it has a very masculine layout (c/o PixelUnion) which establishes the blog’s identity and niche. I’d give it a five if it wasn’t so dark. I just think that it feels too heavy for a niche that promotes fun and enjoyment although it’s perfectly reasonable to choose this theme because most of the games have the same dark theme. But I still think it could do a little lift in terms of graphics.

3. Niche: 5 ~0.0~

If there’s one thing I love about this blog I’d say it’s the fact that it clearly reflects the workings of a gamer’s mind. It’s a mixture of gaming news, game tips and tricks, gameplay experiences and community updates! I’m not much of a gamer but I can definitely tell that people who interact with this blog find themselves enjoying scrolling endlessly down the Tumblog. It almost feels like I’m sitting down with a bunch of gamer geeks, listening to them and not finding myself sleeping in the corner!

4. Blog Activity: 5 ~0.0~

Not everyone gets it from me because… well, I’m a thirsty thirsty ogler. You see, one of the great rules AND challenges of blogging is updating as regularly as possible. Well Reascr actually has new posts almost every single day. I wonder what he does aside from gaming and Tumblr blogging? LOL (He’s way more impressive at updating his blog than I am so go check him out!)

The Eye-Popping Conclusion: 4.5 ~0.0~

Not a bad score, indeed! Now, what factors made this gaming blog an ogle-worthy one? (1) It has a definite niche that is easy to follow; (2) It is very consistent in terms of niche-related posts; (3) It shows the blogger’s personality; and (4) It’s filled with cool, rebloggable treats for all kinds of gamers and geeks. High five to Kai Williamson for an awesome blog!
